Join Sustainable Jersey City (SJC) and the New Jersey Environmental Justice Alliance (NJEJA) for a screening of The Sacrifice Zone, an award-winning film about environmental justice in Newark’s Ironbound neighborhood. The film highlights the impact of polluting facilities on an overburdened community and the residents working to protect their neighborhood. Sustainable Jersey City
The discussion will also connect the film’s themes to Jersey City’s ongoing concerns surrounding the Van Keuren Waste Facility. This is a hybrid event, with both in-person and Zoom participation available. Zoom details will be emailed after registration. Sustainable Jersey City
