Sustainable JC hosts a large number of workshops, talks and fun events that create awareness about various topics and educate the community – everyone is welcome. Many of these educational outreach activities fall into one of our three primary CSC tracks –
- Reduce, Re-Use, Recycle (including Food Waste)
- Built Environment Energy Efficiency Opportunities, Stormwater Management & Water Conservation; Green Infrastructure Opportunities
- Urban Food Systems
Most often, these activities relate to the Projects we are working on or Campaigns we are running. For example, our Greener Buildings / Green Infrastructure advocacy work and SJC’s Rain Gardens +ART Campaign, represent two approaches we take to educating the community about the need for policy change in Jersey City, and we often address these topics at our events.
